There's more for you than what you have — taken from fortune cookie eaten on June 28th, 2016. Oh, and 嗨 means "hi" in Chinese and your lucky numbers are 17, 31, and 64.

You don't need JB or a little cookie or anyone else to tell you that there's more in store for your life. I bet you knew that already. Maybe you felt it. I know I do.

I didn't write this post or start this "Go Series" to tell you that there is more in store for your life. I'm writing in an effort to get you to go. Go somewhere or go for something. I like using verbs like "get" and "go" because, in order for us to positively change our lives, we have to do something. So let's jump right into it and go for it!
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 9:4, KJV
Before we get into it, I just want to talk about what happens in John 9 (of the Bible 😉). John 9 is a really cool story. Oh, sidenote: I love Bible stories, but when I tell them, I try my best to not misinterpret or alter the stories. I've prayed and read and reread this story, so hopefully I can explain the message in a way that is both theologically accurate and sensibly sound.

So this is in the Bible days, and Jesus is (probably) walking through Jerusalem. He sees a man who was blind from birth. So this guy couldn't see. Jesus approached this dude and some disciples asked Jesus why the man was blind. Was it the man's sins or his parents? As far as they knew, this seemingly unfortunate situation was some sort of punishment that existed as a result of someone's past sins or mistakes. But they had it wrong.

So Jesus broke it down for them. He explained how the man wasn't blind because of his sins or because of his parents. He was blind so God's works could "be
made manifest" (John 9:3) or be put on display for everyone to see. It was no one's fault, God precisely crafted the entire situation so He could get maximum glory. And get glory He did! Jesus made some clay, put it on the blind man's eyes, and told him to wash in the pool of Siloam, and then the man could see! That's awesome!

Okay. That's a great story and all, but you may be asking, JB? What on God's green earth does this story have to do with going for it? And what does that even mean? Well, I'm glad you asked. As the key verse says, Jesus explained how He had to do the works that His Father, God, had sent Him to do. Jesus knew he had an assignment to complete, but he also knew that his time on Earth was limited. He had to complete His assignment while there was still time, which is why in John 9:4 Jesus is explaining how He had to work His works while it was still day. To that point, it's imperative for all of us to recognize our assignments and go for them while it is still day. The time is now!

Now, whether or not you believe in God at this point in your life, I'm sure you understand that there is path for your life that you must walk. There are things for you to do, works that you have been sent for, assignments that you need to complete, lives you need to change. To reach the wonderful futures you all have in store, we gotta do what we gotta do.

And we don't get to those wonderful futures while chilling where we are. Look at the fish in the picture above. The little fish decided that it didn't want to live in the smaller tank, not because it was too small to live comfortably. In fact, he might have been comfortable. But he realized the danger involved in living too comfortably. He realized that there was more in store for him. He had a concept of a better future, a vision. And he decided to go for it.

Just remember. I'm encouraging you to go for all that God has for you and go for your future. That doesn't mean things will go as planned, but don't let that discourage you. I believe in you, and I also believe in God. I know he has a plan for each and every one of us.

There is so much in store for all of you reading this. It's kinda exciting, don't you think? You can accomplish great things! Change lives! Be a blessing! You just need to go for it. Go for your future. Jump into all that the Lord has for you. Commit, wholeheartedly. You won't regret it.

Don't be content with where you are, when you know that God has more for you. Live for a better tomorrow. Keep your eyes forward and your head up. Your future is waiting, and you're ready 😉. Go for it!

Excellent post! I was drawn in from the beginning. I pray that God's works will be made manifest in you... always. Now, please excuse me while I go for it!
